The story behind our garden is an interesting one. It was created not by us but by a very talented plantswoman, the late Dorothy Hewitt MBE. She took a hillside meadow and transformed it into a terraced horticultural masterpiece. Sadly, Dorothy died in 2013, and her pride and joy languished for two long years. It became seriously overgrown and the terraces were collapsing. For me, in a newly retired existence, the opportunity to restore the garden was a project that came along at just the right time. This video briefly tells the story and shows you where we have got to.
The full story of how Dorothy created the garden is the subject of my latest blog
